Brigitte Balleys (mezzo-soprano) comes from Canton Valais, Switzerland. She studied with Jakob Stämpli. A first prize and a special prize for Lieder interpretation were for her the start to an international career. She sings under eminent conductors like C. Abbado, V. Ashkenazy, J. López-Cobos and interprets a great variety of operatic roles. She is particularly interested in Lieder and melody, subjects which will be dealt with in this course. Inna Petcheniouk will accompany her masterclass in Sion.
